The Redesdale Arms in a 16th century coaching inn, known as the "First & Last" Inn on route to Scotland and has been providing a warm welcome to visitors for centuries.
The oldest part of the building is over 600 years old and is a former bastle house - a fortified dwelling that provided defence during the late middle ages when this part of the world was known as the "Debatable Lands" - A lawless region roamed over by bands of outlaws from both sides of the border known as Border Reivers.
Today the area is a tranquil place where visitors from both sides of the border can be assured of a very warm welcome, good food and hospitality and some fabulous scenery.
Situated in a great location in the "Northumberland International Dark Sky Park", the Redesdale Arms is a perfect base to stay when visiting Northumberland's many attractions such as Hadrian's Wall, http://hadrianswallcountry.co.uk/ Kielder, Hexham, Cragside, the Scottish Border Country and just a little further afield the beautiful Northumberland coastline, with its castles and fabulous beaches from Alnmouth and Bamburgh to the island of Lindisfarne.
At night you can enjoy some the darkest skies in the world, on a clear night the skies are truly breath taking and as a Stay and Gaze destination we can provide binoculars, a telescope along with star maps and Apps to help you navigate the fabulous starry skies.

Duties Will include:
- Greet Customers in a friendly manner
- Prepare dining tables
- Serving Customers
- Cash Handling
- Learn menus to help customers choose
- Delivering food to tables
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Hospitality team member qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

The pub is situated in a rural location, you will need to be able to commute to and from work each day
Hours may increase from the minimum of 30 up to 40 a week to suit the needs of the business of which the wage will increase accordingly
